Water Treatment and Polishing Systems
Pretreatment, reverse osmosis and polishing trains that produce and dose water to the quality turbines, cooling loops and process plants specify.

Role in the plant
Raw, well or municipal water rarely meets the quality a turbine, steam cycle or process requires. A treatment train removes suspended solids, dissolved salts and organics in stages, and a polishing step takes the product to the purity each user specifies.
- Configuration set by the feed water analysis and the quality each user requires
- Instruments, analyzers and controls integrated and tested on the skid
- Standard trains repeated across a fleet of sites
Typical package scope
| Element | Function |
|---|---|
| Pretreatment | Multimedia and cartridge filtration, softening or antiscalant dosing |
| Reverse osmosis | Single- or double-pass trains with high-pressure pumps |
| Polishing | Electrodeionization or mixed-bed ion exchange to the purity specified |
| Chemical feed | Metering pumps, calibration columns and chemical-compatible piping |
| Storage and forwarding | Forwarding pumps and distribution to the users |
| Instrumentation and controls | Conductivity, flow, pressure and level instruments with PLC control |
Design basis
Each package is engineered to the project requirements, specifications, governing codes and OEM requirements that apply, for a single installation or a standardized fleet.
| Design input | What it determines |
|---|---|
| Feed water analysis | Source, dissolved solids, hardness, silica, organics and temperature |
| Product quality | Conductivity or resistivity and silica limits for each user |
| Flow and demand | Average and peak demand, storage and recovery |
| Redundancy | Duty and standby trains as uptime requires |
| Utilities and discharge | Power, air, drains and reject handling |
| Site | Footprint, enclosure and ambient conditions |
