Lube Oil Systems
Lube oil consoles and skids that deliver clean, cooled oil at the pressure rotating equipment requires, engineered to the equipment manufacturer's lubrication requirements.

Role in the plant
Turbines, compressors, pumps and generators depend on a steady supply of clean oil at the right pressure and temperature. The lube oil system stores, pumps, filters, cools and controls that oil, with standby capacity so the equipment stays protected through a pump or filter change-out.
- Built to the equipment manufacturer's flow, pressure, temperature and cleanliness requirements
- Stainless steel oil piping where specified
- Pump changeover and alarms function-tested before shipment
Typical package scope
| Element | Function |
|---|---|
| Reservoir | Oil reservoir with level instrumentation and heaters where required |
| Pumps | Main and standby pumps, with emergency or rundown provisions where the equipment requires |
| Filtration | Duplex filters with transfer valves for online change-out |
| Cooling | Water- or air-cooled oil coolers with temperature control valves |
| Pressure control | Pressure control and relief valves, with accumulators where required |
| Instrumentation and controls | Pressure, temperature, level and differential pressure instruments with PLC control |
Design basis
Each package is engineered to the project requirements, specifications, governing codes and OEM requirements that apply, for a single installation or a standardized fleet.
| Design input | What it determines |
|---|---|
| Equipment requirements | Flow, pressure, temperature and cleanliness from the equipment manufacturer |
| Oil | Oil type and viscosity grade |
| Cooling medium | Water or air, and the available cooling water temperature |
| Redundancy | Standby pump and filter arrangements |
| Rundown | Protection during shutdown or loss of power |
| Site | Ambient range, area classification and footprint |
